About Jennifer Hockings, Pharm D, PhD

Jennifer Hockings, PharmD, PhD, is a Pharmacogenomicist Clinical Specialist in Cleveland Clinic’s Genomic Medicine Institute. She sees patients on Main Campus and remotely via telegenetics. 

Dr. Hockings is a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, and is licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. She earned her doctor of philosophy degree in cancer biology from the University of Arizona. Upon receiving her doctoral degree, Dr. Hockings served as a professor of biology at the Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, before earning her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi.

Her post-graduate training includes a research fellowship at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a pharmacy residency at Methodist LeBonheur, and a pharmacogenomics residency at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. 

Dr. Hockings has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles in distinguished journals, including Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Research and Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, and has presented at professional association meetings including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Association for Cancer Research.
