Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 7/24/2024, Dr. McGinley has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. McGinley is one of the best providers I've had at any hospital. Empathetic, friendly, professional, and can make a tense, disheartening situation positive. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a neurologist.

Dr McGinley was contacted by me via MyChart message on 10-2 to let her know that I was having my MRI at 8:40A but unable to see Ms Gales until 2P. Dr. McGinley cleared time to see me herself about 9:45A, which saved me from having to wait around for 4 hours. I'm grateful for the kindness that was given me by Dr.M.

Dr McGinley is great

Dr. McGinley went above and beyond explaining things that were previously explained to me but in a way that made sense. She told me things that in 18 years of treatment no one else has and gave me some peace of mind during this stressful time. She listened to every concern and dug in. She is an exceptional provider.

The video was not good but the gentleman assisted me and was very helpful. Then Dr. McGinley assured me that continuing with the audio portion would be sufficient. It was - and the appointment went on for an hour.

I will 100% recommend Marisa McGinley to anyone. She really took her time to make sure all my concerns were addressed, set me up with a path moving forward and also referred me to another specialist for issues outside of her realm.

Dr. McGinley was very kind and compassionate. She listened intently to my health history, viewed my past medical records, completed some sensory testing and made a solid recommendation on my care plan based on that information. She also explained CC therapies that were available to me as a patient. She was more thorough than any non-Mellon Center neurologist I've been to. I look forward to working with her.
