Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/30/2022, Dr. Druzina has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. I am so impressed as to how extremely comfortable this Dr makes me feel in whatever my concerns may be, I never feel rushed during my appointment and she truly makes me feel that she cares and would find answers to whatever I may ask her.

I was and am unable to access myChart; thus the Fair rating. Very Poor is because I can never schedule Dr. Druzina, my doc for decades, in less than 10 months. Her PAs are good but not her. Dr. Druzina is top notch; I give her ten stars lol. She is such a CCF treasure. It's a shame I can only see her once a year with a year's prep.

As I said, Dr. Druzina is almost perfect. I am so happy I found her through an informed search on the CCF Providers website years ago.

Dr. Druzina is a true asset to the CC. She is warm, efficient, and so knowledgeable. I stay with CC because of her.

I say I would recommend her, but it's impossible to get an appointment with her. My 2023 physical is booked for 2024. There are no earlier dates. As mentioned before, Dr. Druzina is a fantastic doctor. I would follow her anywhere. As long as she is with the CC, I am too.

Dr Druzina is a good listener. I choose to travel further to the Euclid location as it is calmer than Willoughby Hills location.

Reviewed on Aug 22, 2022
Irene Druzina is an experienced, knowledgeable and one of the few physicians that embodies excellent bedside manner where she truly takes the time to listen despite what workload she may have on her plate for the day. She truly cares for her patients. As a former healthcare provider for over 2 decades, expectations and workload for physicians Is Inhumane and humanly not possible and unable to provide excellent patient care. The false pretense that health and wellness of employees are always at the very front of an organization's mission but then the reality is a double standard and health and one's life balance is sacrificed by unrealistic expectations, she is a rock star.

This last appt., I felt she didn't review my past issues & minimized my situation as if my pain in my spine was not a problem; almost like she didn't believe me.

I explained to Dr Druzina on MyChart messages a while back, that I was frustrated dealing with nurse practitioners and an odd doctor, who were really strangers. I explained to her that I needed to talk to her about the tests she ordered for me and the results, through MyChart. I felt like I hadn't and probably hadn't seen or talked to her in a very long time. I got a message from her saying that she would set up a virtual appointment to talk to me. It was great. Dr Druzina explained the results and set up an appointment for an ultrasound of my liver. She was thrilled with my cholesterol level, which came down a huge amount. I was happy with the virtual appointment and talking to her personally.
