Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

My only comment is that I would like to do/receive a followup call with Dr. Hashmi to directly discuss my Dad's condition/case, so that I'm fully aware of what he believes in his expertise will be the ongoing course of treatment, so I plan to call his office to schedule a call.

Again, I'm SO very GRATEFUL for Dr. Hashmi making the time in his busy schedule to see/assess my Dad-- it put a lot of concerns to rest and to finally know that he has been prescribed medication which will hopefully subdue/counteract his "odd behaviors" (which are out of his normal wheelhouse), is a HUGE relief to me!

Doctor was not only knowledgeable about my primary concern but he brought up my concerns from an earlier appointment. My daughter is on top of my care and finds the doctor more than qualified for her 90 year old mom's health care.

Nurse and Fellow were excellent and spent alot of time with us. Once Doctor was with us, he was excellent as well. No rush. Spent a great deal of time explaining and discussing treatments.

It was a good experience. The wait was quite long. I will never fault having to wait, if the cause for the wait Is due to giving patients the quality of time and explanation that Dr. Hashmi provided to me in assessing my health and planning for my care, thereafter. I feel confident in his ability to deliver exceptional care for me.
