John McDonnell, MD MS is an Associate Staff Physician in the Department of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Cleveland Clinic. His clinical practice focuses on inborn errors of immunity, including immunodeficiency and immunodysregulatory disorders. He did his pediatric residency at the National Capital Consortium and served for 7 years as an active-duty Navy pediatrician, including in overseas locations. After completion of his military service, he was an allergy and immunology fellow at the Cleveland Clinic and then a primary immunodeficiency fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. During fellowship, he completed a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics at Case Western Reserve University. He brings expertise in the care of children with immunodeficiency, particularly for diseases managed by bone marrow transplant.

Dr. McDonnell was very kind and thorough through the entire process and went into deep detail about all of my daughters allergies and the course of treatment moving forward. He was so kind it even put my daughter at ease. I would recommend him to anyone who may have a child struggling with allergies.
