Jeffrey Hershey, MD, FACC, is a staff cardiologist in the Section of Regional Cardiovascular Medicine in the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He sees patients at Independence Family Health Center and Medina Hospital.

Dr. Hershey is highly experienced in diagnosing and treating heart disease and has performed thousands of cardiac catheterizations. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Education: Dr. Hershey earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Akron, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Case Western Reserve University Affiliated Hospitals in Cleveland.

Prior to Dr. Hershey’s 2020 appointment to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff, he had been Chief of Cardiology for six years and Chief of Medicine for a year at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, Ga.

Dr. Hershey is always so nice. He makes me laugh and really seems to care about my questions no matter how silly they are or no matter how silly I am. For someone dealing with heart patients, he makes me and my daughter feel so relaxed and actually makes us laugh. Whenever anyone asks who I go to I always give his name.
