Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 7/2/2024, Dr. Milgram has reported the financial relationships with the companies listed below. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Very much enjoyed our appointment with Dr. Milgram. I appreciated the time she took to speak to my daughter and me, and that she explained everything thoroughly and in a way that was accessible, but also thoughtful and not "dumbed down." It felt like she went above and beyond, and truly cared. I've already recommended her to a co-worker for her kids.

Dr Milgram is such a caring and knowledgeable doctor. She was at University Hospital and she took such thorough good care of us that when she moved to Cleveland Clinic we followed her. She has done nothing but wonderful things for my boys. She understands them in a depth that I did not know, and it helped me learn so much about my sons conditions and helps to empower me what I can do to help my children, she was the voice that spoke for my son kristopher when his oxygen levels were very low and it was related to the heart and she called the doctor directly and she told him what she thought and she also did a sleep study so that they would have no doubt that it was not sleep apnea that there was something going on with the heart and after that the doctors immediately called me. They did a echocardiogram and they found three spots with his arteries that they ended up fixing, but I have been told by the heart doctors. Oh he's fine. He's fine and she was the only one that advocated for trust your mother, your gut instinct, and trust your mommy vibes and follow through with what you believe and she was right and she backed me up and I'll love her forever for it .

Dr. Milgram is a fantastic physician. She is also very accommodating and helped schedule my son's first appointment with her as my older son is an established patient of hers. She is always great at answering questions and I feel confident with our action plans for my sons.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Milgrim. We met her during a very difficult and trying time and she has been attentive professional and kind since then. She is a great listener and values my opinion as the primary caregiver and mom to Libby. She is just overall an amazing healthcare provider.
