Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

The telephone circus to get to the appointment clerk is totally a pain in the ear! I don't need to hear any more commercials about Cleveland Clinic - I want to talk to the scheduler, one that does plain English, not East Indian or Ebonics, and not after a long hold time. With respect to Dr. Higley, I followed him to the Cleveland Clinic, and I will follow him anywhere. I totally appreciate his demeanor, his honesty, his ability to express in terms that I understand what the problem with my health is, and his knowledge of his profession.

Dr. Higley is thorough, pleasant, tactful, honest, and really has his act together, knows how to explain the issues and their potential resolutions, and I really appreciate that!

Why does it take 6+ weeks to get an appointment with my family doctor? I think the Cleveland Clinic is just trying to push through more patients, and the quality of the relationship with my family doctor is suffering. We have been going to Dr. Higgley since my oldest child was born, and the inability to schedule an appointment within a week or two is causing me to seriously consider finding another doctor. We don't want a relationship with a company, but with a specific medical provider.

I absolutely love Dr Higley!! I moved to Cleveland and still drive to see him. He is a straight forward person who tells it like it is. He has always listened to what I had to say and helped me with everything I have needed. He is an awesome Dr and wonderful person as well.

I have never had to what 3 1/2 weeks to see Dr Higley, and then the call center was trying to push me on to someone else, like I had no other choice.

I love Dr. Higley as he is very caring and understanding. He treats you like a friend and you feel like he cares. He is always aware that money is tight for us and is very helpful to try to work with us when ordering RX, testing, etc. However since Falls Family practice was taken over by Cleveland clinic it is much harder to get timely appointments.

We have been patients of Dr. Higley for eight or nine years. We feel he is an excellent clinician, and as long- time patients, we want to see him instead of other clinicians. While we understand this isn't always a possibility, we do get frustrated when we have to wait several weeks to get an appointment with him.

he's a great doctor I would never see anyone else. I do despise the new Cleveland clinic take over it's less personal and it's not the atmosphere I'm used to. my complaint is more about the new ways not my care he's exceptional

Scheduling has been an absolute nightmare since Falls Family merged with Cleveland clinic. I am extremely disappointed that the process is no longer quick or easy and the couple of times I have needed to make appointments I have had to schedule at least a month out which was never be case before. We will be looking for a new provider that can actually see us in a timely manner and doesn't make us feel like just another number.

Dr. Higley far exceeded my expectations as my new PCP. He listened intently, was expert in his extensive knowlege, inspired confidence in his medical judgment, spoke to me candidly yet warmly, took the time to help resolve some difficult medical issues. He is a superb clinician, and I feel fortunate to be in his care.

Dr. Scott Higley, D.O., has always taken great care of myself and my family. He always gives us enough information to help us make decisions that are best for us.

The only problem that I have, is the amount of time that I have to wait for my appointment and the amount of time I have to wait in the waiting room and exam room before seeing the doctor.
