Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 11/11/2021, Dr. Didich has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. The doctor was easy to talk to and took time to answer my questions

Reviewed on Jul 21, 2021

Dr. Didich is polite, but not caring. He gives a short and direct answer and doesn't spend any time connecting with me as a person. He won't take extra time to answer more in depth questions. The appointments seem to have a clear end in his mind and then he stands up and I know I'm supposed to stop talking. He provided excellent care, but it doesn't feel like he has any investment in me as a person.

Have not seen Dr Didich in over a year due to Covid. He was unbelievably generous in his time with me, never showed an ounce of being rushed and gave me as much time as needed. Reminded me of old Falls Family Practice! He rocks!

Reviewed on May 20, 2021

Dr. Didich has, in the past been professional, caring, respectful. On this date, he was far from that. My A1c was very high. His response was to storm into the office and throw his badge onto the computer cart, while yelling, "do you know how high your sugar is?" He scolded me loudly. This behavior is so uncharacteristic of what I'd come to expect from him. At this point, I'm back to following a healthy regimen, but I hope this does not encourage him to EVER use this approach again. It is unprofessional, counterproductive, and hurtful. I will see him again and I plan to address this with him directly.

Reviewed on May 19, 2021

Dr. Didich will be the only doctor I see from this point after my last visit with a different physician. He remembers me and my family, always gives a thorough explanation of what I'm experiencing and explains my options and allows me to be included in the decision making process. I don't feel rushed in his presence, like he's got to keep it moving because he's got a ton of patients to see and doesn't have time for my questions or concerns. And he validates my concerns and doesn't write off any symptoms I speak of or act like I'm being dramatic or exaggerating when I speak of my symptoms. He is by far, one of the best family practitioners I've had, so much so I pulled my kids from their pediatrician to make him their primary care physician as well. I wished he was available when I experienced sciatic nerve pain 2 years ago. Unfortunately it was an emergency and my appointment was on his day off. If anyone is looking for a new primary, I always highly recommended him. He's a great addition to your team.
