Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

I had never had a joint injection. The MA and Dr King walked me thru what to expect. At injection time the MA said to "remember Lamaze breathing". The injection was painless. Pleasant surprise. Great results. I'm not a wimp but was happy with the painless skill of Dr King.

best doctor ever

This was a follow up for an ankle injury, and Dr. King was excellent. Took care of the foot, then noticed some excessive swelling and ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound found a blood clot which I'm currently under treatment for. Dr. King called me on my cell that evening to check on me and see if I had any questions about it. That's more than any doctor has done for me in a very long time.

Dr. King is a phenomenal physician. prior to my initial assessment he spent more time than I expected getting to know the details of my health condition and coordinating with my referring physician. This was easily one of the best experiences I've had with a provider to date.

I am still complaining about my coccyx pain... the injection for hip tendon did relieve my coccyx area for the first 5 days then pain crept back. my hips are improving every time Dr. King gave me the injections. I think he is putting coccyx pain on hold until we are done with the tendons. Naturally, I want everything treated so I can go back to my normal life. I have been living on bed 24/7 for almost 5 years after got injured. Dr. King has an amazing patience with me, I appreciate his help.
