Dr. Turner is one of the kindest, most compassionate doctors I've ever encountered. She genuinely listens to you, shows true empathy, and works with you to put a health plan in place. I am very fortunate to be under her care.

Takes more than a year to get into see a physician for a physical. Difficult to decide a year in advance.

Reviewed on Oct 25, 2021

At the end of my recent physical, Dr Turner said she wanted to see me again in one year for my next annual physical. However, upon leaving I stopped at the desk to schedule next year's appointment, I was told that the Dr Turner had no appointments for "this type of appointment." Thinking that this was a mistake, I later messaged her office thru MyChart. I was told that this was correct and that I would have to see her Nurse Practitioner for my annual physical. Actually, both my wife and I quite like Allyson Lavinder, but I am puzzled why Dr Turner didn't explain to me this change In procedure to me. I'd like to know what are the circumstances under which I'll see my physician vs her assistants?

I book my appointments a year plus and travel out to Independence for the exceptional care that Dr. Turner and her team provide. When I go for my annual physicals, I am able to ensure that all my health concerns are addressed and Dr. Turner and her team do any routine tests or exams to make sure I don't have to make other appointments throughout the year. Top notch care!!

I got some additional tests done during my visit and Dr. Turner and Karla worked together to prepare the room and make sure that I was aware of everything that was about to happen. I felt very comfortable and a safe space was provided for me to ask questions.
