Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 12/29/2018, Dr. Cartellone has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. My Physician asked me questions about my health and health history. He listened attentively and provided the information I needed. I had an opportunity to ask him questions about health, he explained and provide me with answers in a pleasant and patient manner. I felt comfortable asking questions and confident that he would provide the answer.

he's a great doctor to have.

My only issue during this appointment was when I addressed my list of health concerns with my provider he made sure to inform me that my appointment was only for one issue as to let me know he really doesn't have enough time to address a bunch of issues. But after stating that, he did hear me out on my concerns and address them accordingly. Because of his action, I did not address all of my health concerns with him because it appeared he was either in a rush or just genuinely didn't have enough time in the appointment slot to address everything with me.

My doctor was great! He asked plenty of questions and showed concern. He was able to quickly diagnose it, explain it, and requested further testing to see if there were additional issues. This additional step gave me comfort in knowing I'm in good hands and he cares to get the whole picture.

No problems at all. The only non "very good/5" above and earlier in this survey is that I was used to calling for an annual routine checkup and getting to see "Dr.C" in a few weeks like when he was in private practice. This time the wait was 7 months. Not a problem but that's a long wait, and he's the only doctor I care to see.
