Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Reviewed on Jun 14, 2021

I hate giving bad feedback because I always give the benefit of the doubt but it was just bad. I've seen multiple drs trying to figure out what's going on with my stomach and only four tests have been run out of all the things it could be, four tests. there's at the very least two I can personally think of that should be no brainers but the dr said the prior drs you saw did a good job, very extensive. clearly not if I'm searching out a new dr. with the same issues. he barely made eye contact and he kept interrupting me and I couldn't even get all my symptoms out before he he interrupted me again and said what seemed like he picked a prescription out of a hat and said to try it. his notes said he'd be referring me to functional medicine. I was and am very disappointed in this appt. when you're suffering you want your dr to be like we will figure this out, not pass you off and interrupt you..
