About Anthony Vlastaris, MD

Anthony G. Vlastaris, MD, is a cardiologist in the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute and Deputy Section Head of Regional Cardiology. He also is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Vlastaris sees patients at the West Valley Medical Center and Fairview Park.

Specialty Interests: Chest pain and coronary artery disease evaluation; heart failure management; valvular heart disease management and evaluation; cardiac catheterization; nuclear stress test imaging; echocardiography, including transesophageal echo

Education and Training:  Dr. Vlastaris earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio. He served his residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland and a fellowship in cardiology at MetroHealth Medical Center and Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland. He joined the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2014 and was named Deputy Section Head of Regional Cardiology in 2017.

Research: Throughout his career, Dr. Vlastaris has been committed to advancing patient care through research in cardiovascular medicine. He has served as Principal Investigator on more than a dozen major trials of new treatments for coronary artery disease and heart attack and stroke prevention and a sub-investigator on an additional nearly two dozen trials.

on computer way to much he is a great doctor but computer is used to often. hospital officials are to blame , doctors need to tend to patients not computers !!! love my doctor valstaris
