Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 11/6/2018, Dr. Wolf has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. I did not "click" with this doctor. I felt like he was putting words into my mouth and that he was dismissive. I am satisfied that he referred me to another doctor/surgeon for further evaluation.

I did not like this doctor. He interrupted and didn't give me a chance to really say what I wanted

Reviewed on May 22, 2019

Again....I was rushed and I did not feel as though the doctor let me speak. I felt he was kind of rude

Reviewed on May 21, 2019

Dr. Wolf was late for the appointment since it was late afternoon and his last appointment for the day. He was very helpful and took the time to advise the best steps to take to monitor my problem. He told me if there were any future bad episodes to contact him direct.

Dr. Wolf is very attentive, listens, asks questions and spent a considerable amount of time with me for this follow up appointment.

Reviewed on Feb 28, 2019

Dr Wolf exudes warmth, concern and a high degree of professionalism. I appreciate his office orientation so that he was looking at me directlly rather than over his shoulder as he entered notes in the computer. This is rare but preferred . I made me feel like I mattered as a person, not like a number or a piece on a conveyor belt. It was a excellent encounter. He explained his insights into my problem thoroughly and explained the diagnostic test well.

Dr. Jason Wolfe called my surgeon and discussed my case to ensure we made the best possible decision about next steps. He listened to my needs, provided education about my condition, incorporated my surgeon's input, and cared for me in a way that allowed me to receive care as a survivor of sexual assault. I walked away from that appointment confident in the next steps and in the provider who would provide my care. Dr. Wolfe should be commended for the exceptional care he gave me that day.

Reviewed on Jul 9, 2018

When trying to call the office to schedule an appointment, only one person schedules for this provider. So you have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back. It doesn't make sense when you have the appointment center. However, when you do get that one person, she really works with your schedule and tries to accommodate you -- you wouldn't get that personalized service at the call center

Reviewed on Jul 9, 2018

Doctor was running 45 minutes behind and the girl at the counter let everyone know that and about how what time to expect to be taken in. They did take me back and do vitals and get me ready then back to the waiting room to wait. When Doctor came in, he came right to the waiting room and took me in his office.

Reviewed on Jul 3, 2018

Could not connect with the person who originally called to schedule my procedure. Left voice messages in response which were not returned until my 3rd message was left. The person that did finally respond apologized and provided direction on how to find her when I called to respond to her message. She was also very cooperative in calmly guiding me through optional appointment dates that fit both the doctor's and my schedule. I'm disappointed that I didn't record her name.

Reviewed on Jul 3, 2018

Doctor was delayed in arriving; I was prepped and ready but waiting about 30 minutes.
