Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 9/22/2020, Dr. Paparizos has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. I cannot say enough about Dr. Paparizos.. As I am leaving the area I asked her if she knew of someone whtere I am moving to. She thought she did and four days later I received a call from her giving me the name and phone number of a doctor where I was moving. To say I am sorry to be leaving her is an under statement. She is the best!!

The doctor said the surgery scheduler would give me a call. That was a week ago and I still have not had that call to schedule the procedure.

Dr. Paparizos would score "very good" on all of these. I think her male assistant was a little brusque that day, early in the appointment. He was very good by the end, but I pushed back a bit, politely.

Reviewed on Jun 16, 2020

our original appointment was made (husband and wife), then your office called and changed the spot time. then when we got to our Appt (8;45) we were told our appt wasn't until 9:00. I had another dr appt and was now fearful , I wouldn't make my second one on time. don't have me come 15 min earlier than you want me. I will always be on time bc that can interfere with another appt.
