Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Desai goes above and beyond as well as her staff. She was the 5th Rheumatologist I have been to and she is going to be my Dr. Now forever. She really listened to my concerns as a person and a patient. For the first time in my life having an autoimmune problem was throughly addressed and I am actually getting better. Back to my life. I brought my Fianc to this appt. And he was so happy with her also.I give her TEN STARS

If there was a number 10 I would give the Dr that rating.Dr Desai was so thorough but more importantly concerned about my well-being I'm sure I was her last appointment and she took her time with me. She called me the next day to give further details and afterwards communicated with me via my-chart.

Dr and staff very knowledgeable

Reviewed on Oct 26, 2022

I consider myself an intelligent and informed informed patient and always have questions regarding my treatment plan, tests, etc, of any doctor I see. Dr Desai listens with intent and is especially good at hearing what I think about my treatment options, possible outcomes, future treatment possibilities, etc. I feel my concerns and questions are heard in my appts with her and that I have a say in how we will proceed. I have confidence in her abilities as a physician, but also that how we proceed is a partnership. To me this is the best kind of doctor.
