Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 11/26/2018, Dr. Agaiby has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. It's VERY difficult to reach the doctor's nurse or assistant by phone. Too much wait time!

Dr. Agaiby is a good listener and respects her patients. She is knowledgeable about the newest approaches in medicine. She does not dictate to patients--she works with them to find a treatment plan they are comfortable with and will follow.

Probably the only time in my life when I had an annual physical and was fully clothed. I did not receive the care that I was accustomed to with my previous provider. This provider looked in my eyes, ears, and mouth and briefly listened to my heart. Exam complete. Previous provider scanned entire body for skin cancer, felt every major lymph node, felt body for abnormalities, checked ankles for swelling, performed a DRE because of concern for the prostate, rechecked my blood pressure, etc. This provider left me feeling incomplete - wish she would have looked at the mole on my leg. Probably will schedule a dermatology appt because NOTHING was looked at during this appt. Felt short changed compared to my previous doctor who did a COMPLETE examination. Will be looking for a new PCP.

Surprised of the disparity at the Cleveland Clinic of an annual physical. I went from having a very complete examination to one that was not worth my time. A nursing friend could have perform this exam. Friends were shocked at the incompleteness and how different they were within the same hospital. They agreed that their exams were more like what I was used to. Even read on-line about what to expect at an annual physical and this appt. was not even close. Shouldn't the clinic's annual physical be standardized across the doctors so that the same level of care is provided? Wish my old doctor didn't move on!

Doctor Again is a wonderful doctor. My main concern was my blood pressure but she made sure that other issues we're taken care of as well. She is an excellent doctor and I have recommended her to a couple of friends already.
