Jeffrey Brown, DO is a member of the Department of Family Medicine of Cleveland Clinic in Solon. He is also a faculty member of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and Heritage College of OsteopathicMedicine- Ohio University.
Family medicine originally attracted his interest because it involves care for everyone in the family, regardless of age or health status, and he has a particular interest in adolescent medicine, which can be a challenging time of change for all members of the family.
Dr. Brown enjoys providing broad-based primary care to a diverse patient population with an emphasis on health maintenance, preventive medicine and patient education. He manages both acute and chronic conditions and is active in teaching medical students.
He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a business degree and worked as a computer programmer for 15years. He then went back to school to follow his childhood dream of being a doctor. After completing Harvard University's post-baccalaureate pre-med program, he attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford Maine and completed his residency at Metro Hospital-Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. He is board-certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Brown seemed most concerned that I would assume he would take me on as his book is full. He showed no compassion at two main points. One when he told me he had no idea what was wrong and dismissive about it. The second when I asked what to do with such symptoms and no answers and began to cry. He kindly did offer me tissues, put his hand on my shoulder and said that it wasn't the answer I was looking for but could stay in the room as long as I needed, and left. He must be a competent doctor, but it appears the empathy part of his offering is missing, and would help In situations like this. Thank you for listening.

Wish wouldn't have to schedule appointments 6 months to a year in advance bc doctors are so busy or have too many patients. And/or would like to receive a reminder maybe 6 months ahead if they are that busy to call office to schedule annual exam, etc.

I booked this appointment a year prior, following my last yearly physical. However in the past I have had trouble making appointments, and was told that it would take months to get in to see a doctor. However Doctor Brown is very responsive and responds promptly through the mychart system, connecting a scheduler to me. However I question how prompt I'd be able to get an appointment if I was sick or had something time sensitive to talk to a doctor about.

I have been seeing Dr. Brown for some years now and he has always been and excellent doctor. He listens to what I have to say, even when I am excessive about my lab work and frustrated with my progress. Dr. Brown is an excellent doctor who has been very helpful this past year. His schedule, however, is very full and it can be difficult to schedule a visit on short notice. In all fairness he and his coworkers have done their best to accommodate my schedule and been willing to work me in even if not with Brown himself.

Dr, Brown is professional with respects to his interactions with the patient, but he is also open to being a physician who steps beyond that wall, and responds as being beyond just clinical care. Example was our discussion about OTC "natural" cures. Useful but funny and fun.
