Khodanpur C. Guruprasad, MD, is a cardiologist in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. His primary practice location is at the Marymount Medical Building in Garfield Heights. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Guruprasad earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, University of Bangalore, Bangalore, India, graduating with highest honors.
He completed a one-year residency in internal medicine at Victoria Hospital in Bangalore before relocating to the United States to accept a residency in internal medicine with the Englewood Hospital Association, Englewood, NJ. While there he received the Pfizer Good Physician Award. He continued his training as a fellow in cardiology at Yale-Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, Conn. and completed his post-graduate training with an externship at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio.
Prior to his appointment to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2013, Dr. Guruprasad was in private practice in Northeast Ohio for more than 20 years with Northern Ohio Medical Services and Cardiology Associates of Cleveland. He was affiliated with University Hospitals (UH) of Cleveland, practicing at UH Bedford and UH Ahuja Medical Center in Cleveland as well as Cleveland Clinic Marymount, Hillcrest and South Pointe hospitals.

Dr. Guruprasad is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
