Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Russman and his staff are top notch. He explained things in a way we could understand and he listened to our concerns and was able to see issues that we were unaware of for which I am going to get tested for. He has a great manner of treating me and my family (wife and daughter were with me at the appointment) with respect and kindness. He is truly a great doctor and he well worth having working at Cleveland Clinic. I drive up from Pittsburgh and it is definitely worth the trip to see Dr. Russman.

We arrived a little later than I hoped due to traffic and distance (drove in from Pittsburgh) and the staff took me in right away and was able to keep things on track. The staff was all very attentive and professional. My doctors had the results right away and were able to discuss them with me at my appointments later that same morning.

I was visiting Dr. Russman for a second opinion. I did wait about 30 minutes; however, his nurse carefully explained the reason. When I did see the doctor, he was patient, thorough, and precise. I left with a definite course of action. His staff--over the phone and in person was excellent. I was coming from Fredericksburg VA and that made the trip a bit stressful; however, I undoubtedly received vital information from Dr. Russman.

Dr Russman spent time up front to review my records. Since this was the first time I have seen him, he was able to create a plan to correctly diagnose my problem

I have only had one visit so far but was very pleased with everything. Dr Russman was very encouraging and made me feel very optimistic about coming up with an answer to my health issues.

I travel from PA for treatment of FMD and hemiplegic migraines. My only wish is that Cleveland Clinic was closer because I am so thankful for the care I receive while I am at the clinic. Dr. Russman, as well as all the doctors I see there are outstanding!! (and all the nurses and receptionists and everyone I meet)

He was running late today for my appointment but it doesn't bother me because he is a very thorough doctor. He takes the time with his patients and I wouldn't want it any other way!
