Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 12/2/2021, Dr. Turoczi has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Absolute best doctor I've ever had in my 52. 100% trust and respect.

Dr. Turoczi has been my physician for approximately 8 years and I couldn't be happier with his care. He is an excellent care provider and I highly recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Turoczi spent a good deal of time with me, was incredibly thoughtful and thorough and listened to everything I had to say. I really feel like I have someone in my corner when I go there.

Reviewed on Jun 8, 2021

I have the absolute best doctor in my 52 years, total trust and respect.

Reviewed on Apr 23, 2021

Dr. Turoczi is wonderful, informative and talks to his patient. He does use his laptop to review and input information in the appointment, but still remains in conversation with the patient. Something many doctors do NOT do due to rules of the Clinic. Inputting while with a patient is a LACK OF CARE.

great doctor.

Reviewed on Feb 26, 2021

Dr. Turoczi actually listens to my concerns and treats me like I'm his only concern for the moment, which I massively appreciate. I feel like I have a healthcare provider on my side for once. He also doesn't get sidetracked with my weight. I have avoided doctors a lot through my life because I'll go in to talk about a sprained wrist and have to get into a lengthy conversation about how fat I am. He talks about this issues at hand and makes me feel comfortable.

Reviewed on Feb 12, 2021

The best visit I have ever had with Dr. Turoczi. The back and forth interaction and information sharing was at the highest level.

Reviewed on Feb 9, 2021

The only issue I've ever had is getting an appointment when I need one, (after I've forgotten to book it right after my appointment though). This I'm sure is because he is such a popular doctor. Dr. Turoczi is by far one of the best doctors I've ever seen. And dur to my illness (Crohn's disease) and side effects, I've seen quite a few.

Reviewed on Jan 27, 2021

I did not have any issues with the e-visit and it worked to be able to discuss my issues with the doctor, but I do look forward to being able to see the doctor in person because I still think it would be easier to diagnose the patient more accurately.
