Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 12/22/2019, Dr. Gor has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Click here to view a listing of instances where Cleveland Clinic has identified a Public Health Service (PHS)-Reportable Financial Conflict of Interest and has put measures in place to ensure that, to the extent possible, the design, conduct and reporting of the research is free from bias.

Dr. Gor listens to me and spends a lot of time with me during the appointment. Once I had my bloodwork done, she responded to me directly (through My Chart), making suggestions based on my test results. I appreciate the prompt, detailed feedback.

Dr. Gor always takes her time and is very empathetic. She does not rush through the visit and makes she address everything. I can tell she cares about my health concerns and well being. Her medical assistant. Holly is also very kind and attentive.

I don't feel I lost much over the phone. Now if I had to show her some visually that would have been different. We are moving and will miss having her as our Dr.

Dr. Priti Mhetta is a very caring and professional physician and I would definitely recommend her! She has been my primary physician for the last 5 or more years, I have lost count. My previous PCP was a long standing, well known doctor with an excellent reputation and I was very concerned that I would not find another doctor. Dr. Metta hasn't disappointed me.

Phone call with doctor was excellent and very thorough with a plan for continued care. In person is always better but there are times that the video visit is very useful and much appreciated during covid.

I love the Cleveland Clinic and all of the health care providers I have been blessed with. During my 6 years with the Cleveland Clinic my only complaint has been with clerical personnel, one in ER that was just completely arrogant and one the used to met people at the front door both at Twinsburg.

The doctor and staff were excellent in their professional capacities as well as in their personal demeanor

doctor is great but being under caresource I can't get an appointment when I need one. it's not fair in any way having to wait over 5 months for an appointment because a provider is seeing their max amount of care source patients. I am on caresource and state insurance due to a brain injury that was caused by someone else. if I see a doc it has to be right away since I have a head injury.

The previous patient kept the doctor a long time so I did not see the doctor until one hour after my scheduled app't time. Dr. Gor was apologetic, saw me during her lunch time & spent time w/me to have all my questions answered.
