Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 12/13/2020, Dr. Baggott has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Baggot was the first doctor in my life who sat down to get to know me as a person. He was absolutely amazing.

Dr Baggot and I the most thorough conversation about my issues that I have ever had with a physician

excellent way to meet with my doctor. we can discuss my care as effectively as an in office visit, without my having to travel to an appointment. I live three hours away, so for one appointment I travel six hours. most of the time I stay overnight the day before my appointment. so the cost of travel and lodging can be as high as $300. with a virtual appointment, I save money and receive the same high quality of care.

Dr. Baggott was exceptional
Reviewed on Jul 21, 2020
my doctor is very good. however, I was told my procedure would be painless. in their words, "I most likely wouldn't remember much once completed," but I remember everything. the pain was immense and I remember everything as though the anesthetic didn't work. I actually felt like it kicked in once I had left and was in the car home. no one explained why and the doctor stopped at 2/3s of the way done saying I would need to get it done again with sedation. if he had communicated with me I would have asked him to finish the procedure. we were almost done, I was already in pain and I'm not doing it again this year. I simply can't afford any more medical procedures. he spoke to me after the procedure but didn't explain what happened and I haven't had anyone follow up with me. this experience was traumatic and I can see online that I am not the only one who has this experience. It's absolutely unacceptable
