Kathleen (Katy) Martinelli, MHS, PA-C is a 2002 graduate of the Duke Physician Assistant program and spent most of her career practicing in orthopaedics. However, in 2023 she transitioned to the pulmonary department at the Cleveland Clinic and is currently part of the Lung Cancer Screening and Lung Nodule program.
Katy has also spent much of her career as an educator of both students and peers through her extensive lecturing at national conferences and a variety of Physician Assistant Programs around the country. Teaching is a passion of hers and she enjoys the opportunity to share her knowledge with others whenever possible.
When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and two children.

My physician assistant was the best I've ever encountered at the cleveland clinic. She was extremely knowledgeable and caring and put me at ease during a very scary time. You are very fortunate to have her. I've been an RN for 50 years.

I appreciate seeing the NP and being able to discuss care. However, last visit and this visit no decision can be made until the NP can discuss with the MDthat leaves me in limbo.

It makes no sense having this appointment without under going pulmonary tests then evaluation by the pulmonary doctor!!

I wish you had excellent as a choice for this doctor. I'm not exaggerating by saying the care, concern and professionalism of this doctor was wonderful. She took time to show me my CT scans and explain my diagnosis'.

A very intelligent and knowledgable, caring human being explained the results of the CT scan clearly and gave her opinion on the results. I really liked her and would highly recommend her to anyone. I chose to see a specific doctor instead of her in one year, because I want a definitive and hopefully final resolution to this medical question. I suspect she would be able to give me the same information, but, just in case the news isn't good, better to hear the next steps from a person who could operate to try to save me from the issue.
