Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/19/2018, Dr. Johnson has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Everything was fine except the doctor herself. She was not friendly, didn't listen, was rude to me and her employees during my visit and did not help me at all. I will not be seeing her next time. I called the main clinic line and asked for a foot doctor that had great reviews but she wasn't available for two months so whoever I was speaking with on the general clinic line (not at this specific office) said Tanya had an appt the next week so I took it. I learned my lesson now that it is worth the two month wait for the Dr's with great reviews.

Dr. Johnson is awesome! I prefer to see her in Lorain v Avon Lake because the facility in Lorain is much nicer and less chaotic

I waited almost an hour in the outer waiting room before being called back to the exam room. Then, everything went very quickly. The staff apologized many times about the delay, and when it was my turn with Dr. Johnson, she took a great deal of time with me which I appreciated. Dr. Johnson is definitely worth a waiting for.

The last several visits I waited in the waiting room a good 45 min. before being called in. This last visit I waited a half hour before being called in. I suspect the office double books. I think another doctor needs to be added to the staff. I very much like Dr. Johnson, however, and think that she is an excellent doctor.

The receptionist at Dr. Johnson's office was phenomenal. The courtesy of everybody in that office is superior. Brian the nurse, is very personable and very knowledgeable. I really like Dr. Johnson I wish she could be my primary care physician but she is a podiatrist. LOL.

the doctor was behind schedule by an hour which rushed me to other appointments and work throughout the day.

I waited for over an hour to see the podiatrist. No apology or explanation was offered. Then a female employee came into the exam room unannounced to tell the podiatrist another patient was waiting. So Dr. Johnson left before giving post-visit directions. My appointment was not a priority to the staff and my privacy was not respected.
