Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Aziz was very good about listening to a concern of mine that was in addition to the original reason for my visit. She took the time to listen to me. After examination, she gave me a referral to a specialist. I appreciated that.

I was very disappointed with I left my appointment. I did not feel like Carolina listened to me when I was answering the questions she asked me. She spoke a million words a minute, asked the same questions multiple times and did not let me finish my answers to questions she asked me. I felt like she was going through the motions and rushing to move on to her next task. I was very disappointed.

The nurse was very mind, but appeared to have no experience in doing an ekg.The doctor herself was the rudest doctor I have ever had. She rushed through the appointment and didn't listen to any of my concerns. When I asked about medication she prescribed she told me " not to worry about side effects". She also made it crystal clear she was unhappy to see me, and thought I needed to see a specialist. But I couldn't get into one.

I barely got a word in edgewise and had very little dialogue. I was talked at - there was no discussion. For example, I brought all my supplements and vitamins and they weren't even looked at or discussed. She was dismissive of concerns I raised based on what other doctors told me to bring up. I have been seeing Dr. Aziz for several years, but will be looking for a new PCP after this appointment.

My experience with Dr. Aziz was a bit uncomfortable. She was 10 minutes late and didn't know what the appointment was scheduled for, despite me noting this in my appointment booking. When I expressed a need for a malaria pill prescription, she cut me off and proceeded to explain how I was putting her in an uncomfortable position by asking for a malaria pill instead of going to a travel clinic and that I should've requested the prescription earlier. Despite reprimanding me that this was "bad medicine," she proceeded to prescribe me the Malarone anyway. Dr. Aziz cut me off from explaining my concerns about the malaria pill side effects, as a migraine sufferer, so I had to wait until picking up the pills at CVS to ask about this.

Dr. Aziz was dismissive, rushed and seemed irritated the entire appointment. She downplayed my symptoms and kept telling me "you don't look sick/toxic". Made me feel like I was a bother and should not have come in when I was in pain. Made assumptions about my diet due to my weight, assumed the pain was from eating fried food and lots of dairy, I don't eat either.
