Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr Pande was excellent at going over my past records, history of my present illness and providing me great information I hadn't received from my current physician. This was a second option visit and Dr Pande was very helpful in helping me understand my condition.

Dr. Pande seems like a superb doctor to me. I've been seeing him for quite a while and have always found him to be thorough and caring. I would highly recommend him.

It took over a week to get a response regarding paperwork I was expecting in the mail, then took another 10 days to actually receive the mail which was a building directory..nothing about nearby accommodations I was looking for. Did not receive a questionnaire I expected to fill out and representative could not answer question of which doctor/hospital had sent requested expats, tests and reports I had requested. Which I believe should have been forwarded to Dr Pande. So really I don't know how much I for he received or not before our consultation.

Dr. Pande truly listened and understood my condition and ailments.

I live in Orwell, OH. It is 120 miles round trip to see Dr. Pande at main campus. The video visit saves time and allows me to communicate with the doctor almost as if I were sitting in his exam room.

I was scheduled with the PA, and then she left so I had to wait all the longer to get in to see Dr. Pande
