Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Just one time doctor was called to surgery so rearranged a lab test so the wait to see the doctor was minimal. I was helped by the staff. Great experience. Excellent care giving by all ! I am very pleased.

Dr. Krishnaswamy was very professional, knowledgeable and caring. we would highly recommend him to anyone in need of Cardiac care. The staff spoke very highly of him when we engaged in conversation which made me feel even more comfortable with the doctor. Hope to not need him again but would definitely come back to him if need be!!

HI this was my first visit to this physician for a PFO closure recommended by Dr Majdalany. I thought this physician was extremely pleasant, understanding and kind. I thought he was clearly competent and would trust him to do my procedure should I decide on that in the near future. He showed and explained things in a fashion that had not been explained by prior physicians and what he explained finally made sense. This has been a long haul in the last year, trying to get information about PFO closure. Thanks!

The doctor went above and beyond in helping with treatment and testing! Phenomenal!

Dr Krishnaswami answered all of my questions, discussed my concerns, and drew me an illustration of my heart that we have kept and will frame because it is so well drawn. Dr Krishnaswami and the entire Cleveland Clinic team provide excellent medical care and an experience we have not found anywhere else. It's why we will drive 6 hours for an appointment. Thanks to you all!

Just recommended a follow up in 6 months or if symptoms become a problem...sooner.

Reviewed on Oct 12, 2017

Dr. Krishnaswamy stated he would call me later in the evening to update me on my tests. (I didn't believe him, I've lost trust in some physicians). He called as I was waiting for the valet to retrieve my vehicle. Very impressed.

Reviewed on Oct 4, 2017

In the times I have met with Dr.Krishnaswamy, I have been most impressed by how genuinely knowledgeable and nice he is. I have met with doctors at other facilities who are arrogant and impressed with themselves, don't listen well to me. Dr. K. doesn't have an arrogant bone in his body.
