Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

the only problem I had was I had approval from insurance and received letter from the clinic saying the office would contact me to schedule in 7 days, well no one contacted me. I had to contact them to schedule my surgery. very unorganized. I have heard that this is a normal occurrence for this girl who schedules surgeries. I love the rest of the office and love dr Benscath. no other issues.

Dr. Bencsath is an extremely wise, knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate surgeon with a wonderful bed-side manner and personality. He went through this journey with my husband & myself carefully and patiently explaining the diagnosis, tests, and options and answering my many questions. He was truly a blessing from God and an answer to many prayers. He is one of few doctors that I have encountered who deserves the title "Medical Professional".

I just want to say how very impressed I am with Dr. Bencsath. Within a few minutes he had successfully diagnosed and fixed a medical issue that I had been dealing with for almost two years. Also, he was very cordial and caring throughout the appointment, he asked about my thoughts and feelings, gave me valuable information about my condition, and provided me with a path to improve it. I really feel hopeful that my life will improve under his care.
