Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/8/2016, Dr. Lansang has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Dr Lansang has always understood my ideas on how my treatment, medications, follow-up care and she always wins. All in all, she has helped me over the years to better understand my illness.

The provider is excellent. Very knowledgeable and very patient. I called for a same day appointment. She was really nice to overbook me and see me in her office same day although she was busy. Very prompt with calling me about test results, because I was worried. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Doctor Lansang always instructs me on the proper use of medicines and helps me adjust dose if we need to. She has always done this since day one and I am not always easy to work with.

other than loose weight if I could and a short discussion about my current meds. I left without knowing what her plan of care was for me. I assume she needed the US and lab work before she could say.

M. Cecelia Lansang is an exceptionally good doctor that is very knowledgable about insulin dependent diabetes treatment, respectful of patients, conscientious, and caring. Prior to seeing her I had seen another endocronylogist within the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Lansang is head and shoulders above her peer and I wouldn't trade her for any other doctor inside or outside of your organization.

Dr Lansang is EXCELLENT! We drive over 3 hours one way to see her. I have had many other endocrinologists and have not been happy with any of them. I will go wherever she goes! She is that worth it to me. One of the best doctors I have ever had. Caring and compassionate while being firm with her decisions on what she feels is best for my medical care. I always feel very comfortable with her and feel that I can talk to her and ask her anything. This is the best I have felt in years and I credit it all to her. She is a huge asset to Cleveland Clinic and I hope that I can continue to see her for many years to come.
