After receiving his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Ricchetti completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. During his residency training, Dr. Ricchetti also completed a year of dedicated research in the McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the Rothman Institute.
Dr. Ricchetti's interests in shoulder pathology include joint replacement and arthroscopy, rotator cuff tears and other tendon and ligament problems, sports injuries, and trauma. Dr. Ricchetti is very active in shoulder and elbow research and has authored a number of publications and book chapters, including presenting at regional and national conferences.

Dr. Ricchetti was fantastic. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns regarding my shoulder issue. I travel 4 hours from West Virginia to receive Care at CC because it is so superior to the healthcare in our area. We are always going to come to CC when having any major health problems. Dr.Ricchetti and staff are awesome as well as CC testing, hospital stays. 12 out of 10

Dr. Ricchetti engenders a sense of optimism about recovery from surgery by virtue of the way he shares his clinical wisdom---he has seen a wide array of responses to surgery and, as such, can calmly and confidently encourage a positive outlook in the first weeks post-operation even when the recovery timeline may differ from the "standard" timeline. He is respectful of patient questions, answering them effectively and patiently. He also demonstrates an attention to detail that inspires confidence in his recommendations and suggestions.

This was a f/u for 2 surgeries that occurred prior to covid. I feel very blessed I was able to have both surgeries before the pandemic. Living pain free is the absolute best outcome. Thankful for finding Dr. Ricchetti when I did.

I understand the doctors reason for delaying Physical Therapy, but per all my physical therapists, therapy should have started at least 3 1/2 months early. All doctors should at lease look at /consider latest research. I am NOT saying my Dr hasn't. Dr Ricchetti's method DOES work.

Dr.Eric Ricchetti orthopedic surgeon my man is who I saw. I can't ask for better than Dr.Ricchetti. He knew how to approach my issues and was able to tell me what the issue is, and how we need to approach it. If precautions are needed. Most important he was totally honest about it even though the results weren't pleasant.

Dr. Ricchetti gave me a solid evaluation, and he asked me numerous questions regarding my shoulder pain, discomfort, etc., and then he explained why I was experiencing the pain. He explained what needs to be performed to resolve my situation. He eased my mind, but also gave it to me straight. I am following his instructions and proceeding to the next step(s).

Dr. Ricchetti is a very caring and thoughtful Dr. I have many years of experience in the medical industry, and Dr. Ricchetti never treats me like a layperson. We often discuss components of the surgery that I have questions about. He is very giving of his time. I had to ask him how he even remembers me, and my surgery given his workload. He chuckled and said, "I operated on you, its my job to remember"
