About Hadley Wood, MD

Hadley Wood, MD, is Staff in Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Genitourinary Reconstruction, part of the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute and Associate Professor of Surgery, Case-Lerner College of Medicine.

Dr. Wood completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Her post-graduate training includes a urology residency with Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute in Cleveland.

Dr. Wood is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Board of Urology, American Urological Association, Society for Women in Urology, Societe Internationale Urologie and Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons. 

Dr. Wood has received several research grants and has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as having contributed abstracts and presentations at a number of professional association meetings.  She received the Bruce Hubbard Stewart Award for Humanistic Medicine (2008) and serves on the Cleveland Clinic Professionalism Council.

Her specialty interests include genital and urinary reconstruction with a special focus on adolescents and adults with congenital anomalies of the genitourinary tract. These include: myelomeningocele, hypospadias, bladder exstrophy, Eagle Barrett syndrome, ambiguous genitalia, neurogenic bladder, as well as many others. She also treats acquired urological reconstructive problems, including radiation fistulae, urethral strictures, operative injuries to the bladder and ureters, and traumatic bladder and genital injuries.  In addition, she supports a multidisciplinary clinic for adults with spina bifida that occurs approximately every 2-3 months.
