SODIUM CHLORIDE (SOE dee um KLOOR ide) treats conditions that cause thick mucus in your lungs. It works by thinning and loosening mucus, making it easier to clear from the lungs. It may also be used to help deliver other medications to the lungs.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
This medication is for inhalation using a nebulizer. Nebulizers make a liquid into an aerosol that you breathe in through your mouth or your mouth and nose and into your lungs. Take it as directed on the prescription label. Do not use more often than directed. Keep taking unless your care team tells you to stop.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. While it may be prescribed for children as young as infants for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

Store unopened at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (50 and 86 degrees F). Do not freeze. Protect from heat. Keep in the original container until ready to use. Get rid of any unused medication after the expiration date.
