After completing a fellowship at the university of Oregon Health Sciences University, Michele Fascelli, MD, joined our department last year to become Surgical Co-Director of the Gender Affirming Surgery Program at Cleveland Clinic. To date, he has evaluated and treated over 300 patients for some form of gender affirming care. Approximately 75%of patients have been seen for feminizing surgery and 25% for masculinizing procedures. Patients dealing with complications following previous gender affirmation surgery or requiring revision procedures are another important part of the practice.
