On behalf of Cleveland Clinic, the Institutional Biosafety Committee is responsible for reviewing recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid molecule research for compliance with the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules.
When possible and consistent with protection of privacy and proprietary interests, institutions are encouraged to open Institutional Biosafety Committee meetings to the public.
