Our Integrated Surgical Institute (ISI) brings together a broad range of surgical specialties — including the departments of Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Urology. ISI is also home to three specialized centers: Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery and Hand Surgery. Together, these departments and centers advance clinical care, education and research across their fields.

Our ophthalmologists provide advanced medical and surgical care across all subspecialties, including retina, glaucoma, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology and ocular oncology. With more than 400,000 outpatient visits and 21,000 surgeries annually, the Cole Eye Institute is one of the busiest centers in the country. A newly expanded facility supports innovation in patient care, research and education.
We manage the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, from routine fractures to complex joint replacements and tumors. Our surgeons perform a high volume of procedures each year, including joint replacements, arthroscopy and spine surgeries. We’ve led advances in fracture healing, implant design and biologic repair. Our team also powers Cleveland Clinic Sports Health and the new Global Peak Performance Center, serving elite athletes and active patients alike.
Our board-certified surgeons provide advanced aesthetic and reconstructive care, with expertise in facial cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, craniofacial procedures, upper extremity surgery and microsurgery. We’re nationally recognized for minimally invasive techniques and consistently evolving approaches that improve outcomes and recovery. Patients are referred from across the region for complex reconstruction and cosmetic procedures.
We provide advanced medical and surgical care for the full spectrum of ear, nose and throat conditions in both adults and children. Our team includes specialists in head and neck surgery, sinus and skull base disorders, otology-neurotology, airway reconstruction and vestibular care. We work closely across specialties to manage complex cases and serve as a regional and national referral center.
Our urologists deliver comprehensive care for kidney stones, pelvic floor disorders, reproductive health and urologic cancers. The team provides subspecialty expertise in female and pediatric urology, transplant and complex reconstruction, and is recognized for innovation in robotic and image-guided surgery. Research and education remain central to advancing patient outcomes.
