Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate short term differences in MRIs in multiple sclerosis participants to better describe the population for clinical trials.

In this study you will receive two MRIs. You will be asked to attend two research visits, complete the MS Performance Test (MSPT) if not completed clinically in the last 12 months, and have a neurological exam if not able to be taken from clinical notes.

Participation will last 2-31 days. The first visit is about 2-4 hours, and the second visit is about 1.5 hours.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Clinical diagnosis of MS
  • Stable MS defined as no clinical relapse or MRI disease activity in past 2 years (MRI needed from past year and compared to previous MRI to confirm)
  • Age 18-70 years

Exclusion Criteria

  • Pregnancy
  • Claustrophobia, metallic implants, cochlear implants, nerve stimulator, cardiac pacemaker, large tattoos with metallic ink, or other contraindicated implants/devices for 7T MRI
