Description

Description

This registry is for Latino/Hispanic adults who receive care at Cleveland Clinic and either:

  • have colorectal cancer (CRC),

  • have Parkinson’s disease (PD), or

  • are healthy Latino controls without these conditions.

The goal is to build a long-term Latino health cohort so researchers can better understand how genetics, lifestyle, environment, and access to care affect the risk of colorectal cancer and Parkinson’s disease, and health in general for Latino communities.

If you join, you will be asked to:

  • Complete a questionnaire about your health, background, lifestyle, and family history,

  • Provide a blood sample or saliva sample (one-time), and

  • Allow the study team to use information from your medical record and stored tissue samples (if available) for research.

Your samples and data may be stored for future approved studies. You may also be contacted in the future to complete short follow-up questionnaires or give another sample, if you agree. There are no experimental treatments, and this registry does not change your usual medical care.
