Cleveland Clinic’s heart program has ranked No. 1 in the nation since 1995.
Five other Cleveland Clinic specialties are ranked in the Top 5. Cleveland Clinic earned the highest ranking of any Ohio hospital.
U.S. News also ranked hospitals by region. Two of our regional hospitals — Fairview (3), Hillcrest (4) — ranked within the Top 5 of Cleveland-area hospitals. Florida was named No. 1 in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale Metro area.

About the Rankings
The U.S. News rankings were developed to help patients, families and physicians determine the hospitals that provide the best care for serious or complicated medical conditions or procedures. The rankings recognize the top 50 children’s hospitals in 10 medical specialties, determined based on a number of criteria, including:
- Hospital survival rates.
- Nurse staffing.
- Sub-specialist availability.
In addition to the data, pediatric specialists were asked to recommend the hospitals they consider best for children with challenging problems.

Cleveland Clinic Florida continues to be recognized as a leader in quality clinical care as well. Gastroenterology and GI surgery was nationally ranked and is among the best programs in America. In addition, Geriatrics, Nephrology and Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery were ranked as high performing specialties.
