Biography

About Kenneth Cummings, III, MD

Dr. Cummings is a Staff Anesthesiologist at Cleveland Clinic and Director of the Center for Perioperative Medicine in the Integrated Hospital-Care Institute. He also serves as  the medical director of Cleveland Clinic's preoperative clinic systems in Ohio, responsible for approximately 90,000 patient encounters per year.  His clinical interests include preoperative evaluation and optimization, acute pain management, and perioperative medicine.

Dr. Cummings is an active researcher, participating in a number of clinical trials and large registry studies.  His areas of research interest include perioperative cognitive dysfunction, regional anesthesia, and outcomes after cancer surgery.
