Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/6/2018, Dr. Ng has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Dr. Ng is always pleasant and thorough with her exams. she inspires you to be compliant.

Dr. Ng was very informative, explained everything in detail, and said to make sure to follow up with her in one year, but to call in 6 months to set up that appointment. Don't wait to make the appointment at the time I should be seeing her. However, if I should need care before that, make sure to call for an appointment.

Dr. Ng is extremely professional as well as being warm and concerned. She treated me as a if she remembered me although it had been some time since I had seen her. She obviously familiarizes herself with charts before confronting a patient, and she exhibited general concern and interest in me as well as my health.

The appointment was scheduled with my husband's appointment. However, the office overbooked another patient in-between our appointments. I was very upset and mad because I arrived at 220pm (with my husband), then didn't get taken into the room until 340pm (appointment started 305pm per MyChart), and wasn't seen by the physician until 4pm. I was very upset and mad in the appointment because of this, and the staff (physician and desk receptionist when I called after the appt) dismissed my feelings as if I should just know this is how things are. When I called the receptionist to report my long wait time, they only made excuses that the physician prefers to spend time with the patients. However, they never acknowledged that they overbooked the appointments and also didn't allow me to discuss with an office manager. She gave me the number to the ombudsman instead.
