Experience: Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi has more than 40 years’ experience in caring for patients with all forms of heart and valve disease as well as helping patients manage risk factors to mitigate or prevent cardiovascular disease. She has extensive experience with diagnostic imaging studies, including echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), electrocardiograms (ECGs) and stress testing, and has evaluated and performed thousands of studies.
Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi is board certified in echocardiography, internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Education: Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Henri Poincaré University (now University of Lorraine), Nancy, France. She completed her internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at University Hospital of Nancy and was named to the staff of the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery there following her fellowship.
Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi’s additional training includes a research fellowship in echocardiography at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, and a visiting scholar experience at Toronto Hospital, Ontario, Canada, under the direction of renowned heart failure expert Peter Liu, MD. She relocated to the United States in 2007 to accept a position in the Heart and Vascular Institute at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi joined the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2023 from Hershey Medical Center where she was director of the echocardiography laboratory and Professor of Medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine.Research,
Publications and Speaking: Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi has been involved in research throughout her career, beginning during her time in the cardiovascular surgery division of University Hospital of Nancy doing basic research on the myocardial properties of heart transplant patients. After returning to the hospital from her research fellowship in echocardiography at Cedars-Sinai, she designed and implemented a protocol for TEE during mitral valve repair. Her later experience with Dr. Liu led to her development of rehabilitation programs specifically designed for heart failure patients.
Since 2014 Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi has been a co-investigator on multiple studies funded by the National Institutes of Health, primarily on the use of echocardiography to evaluate the cellular effects of poisons such as industrial toxins. Her research team has demonstrated the efficacy and protective effect of several new antidotes for substances such as hydrogen sulfide and cyanide.
Dr. Judenherc-Haouzi has coauthored numerous scientific papers published in leading medical journals on topics that have included postoperative complications of cardiac surgery, utility of TEE in mitral valve repair and cardiotoxicity due to inhaled toxins. She has presented results from her basic and clinical research at prestigious national and international medical meetings in France and the United States.She currently is a manuscript reviewer for British Medical Journal and Cardiology.

Extremely difficult to get an appointment with a specialist. I needed a follow-up appt with a cardiologist after being hospitalized in GA for Afib. All attempts to schedule one were met with 2-3 month wait times. Fortunately, I was able to get a same day appt with Dr. Haouzi but had I not been available that day I may have waited months
