Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr Vera has been wonderful. She is attentive and really listens to my concerns. She explains things well and takes the time to answer any questions I have. After years of GI issues, I've been very happy with the treatment so far.

I'm so thankful for the ability to meet with my provider by video. I live almost 3 hours away so I don't think I would be able to continue treatment if I had to take time off work. It's been wonderful.

Always excellent care from Dr. Vera. She is patience, compassionate, professional and very knowledgable. She is exceptional at complex problem solving and prescribes medication and supplement with the utmost care.

Had an initially appointment scheduled September 2023 with another provider. It was cancelled 2 months prior without explanation. It took 8 months to get another appointment. The lack of communication was disheartening and frustrating.

Dr Vera Nunez was very easy to work with. She gave clear information, answered my questions very well and treated me with dignity and respect. She definitely worked with me to come to a decision together for a treatment plan. She is very positive and I feel very fortunate to have her as my functional medicine physician.

I love the department desk for any interactions. They are lovely to talk to and always feel very calm and sympathetic. However, I do not like the general Clinic appointment line because 1) there are too many steps and, 2) they do not know the doctors, procedures, locations, etc.

Dr. Vera was thorough compassionate. She explained the process and I felt she was a good listener to my symptoms and history and asked questions. She was very detailed in explaining tests and next steps.
