Came up here from PA and so glad I did. Dr Abetemarco was so kind and thorough with the exam. He explained everything to me in detail which I truly appreciated. Also appreciated that he was hands on in my care and did not pass me off to an assistant or fellow. Would recommend him to anyone I know

I have been a patient of the Mellen Center for 20 years, and this was by far the best appointment I have ever had. Dr. Abbatemarco was personable, compassionate and met me exactly where I was at and offered realistic options for my ongoing care/medication. I often have anxiety and avoidance related to these appointments, but he reduced of this by being open, realistic and compassionate. I am a therapist, and I think I have a pretty good read on the skill and impact of interpersonal issues- this doctor had one of the most effective "bed side manner" I have ever experienced. The entire appointment was greatly enhanced by the communication and interpersonal skills of the CNP I saw prior (Julie Widmar). She did an excellent job of preparing this doctor to take an approach with me that would be most beneficial to my care. I am more on board with my health care routine than I have ever been because of these two providers. Very grateful, thank you!
