Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 5/28/2018, Dr. Botek has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Always a good experience with Dr. Botek. I've recently recommended her to a friend.

The doctor is always careful with instructions so that I understand what I'm supposed to do and approximately how long the injury will take to heal.

Dr. Botek has always been cordial yet professional with genuine concern for my respective medical problem. Her staff is efficient, welcoming, but like she, very professional. I feel fortunate having her as one of my Cleveland Clinic care givers.

This was my first visit with this doctor. I had to wait 3 months for an appointment with her. I patiently waited for someone to cancel so that I would get in quicker. But that never happened. I had someone ask me how I managed to get an appointment with her, and I just told them I waited 3 months for my appointment. So you just have to do the same. Make the appointment and wait for it to arrive. That proves she is a very fine doctor. I have fungus in my toenails and she clipped them very low and gave me a prescription to put on my toes. Hopefully, it will work. The podiatrist I had been going to said there was nothing he could do for it. I guess he just didn't want to be bothered. So I go back in three months for a check up with her.

wait times in the exam room are usually 30-45 mins until I get to see the dr.

I have been a diabetic (type 1) for over 45 years and have had major issues with foot ulcers. With Dr. Botek's care I was able to go to the Galapagos Islands, walk the beeches, scuba dive, and walk up rocks that a few years ago would have been impossible tasks.

Because she is so good, it was difficult getting an appointment in a timely manner. I had to wait 2 months to get an appointment. Previously, I settled to see another podiatrist and was very unhappy with that particular provider, so I had to wait to see my preferred provider.

She was extremely thorough and kind. She listened to the problems, explained solutions, and seemed to care about my history and family history of the problem. The doctor was very personable, and I have talked with friends and family already about how much I enjoyed meeting her and soon to schedule surgery.

Scheduling 2 future appointments, one with Dr. Botek and one with a different doctor for leg bas test, took a lot of time because the two patients ahead of me, each required quite a long time to resolve and schedule their future appointments.

dr.botek seemed annoyed at some of my questions, like she was in a hurry. she also didn't explain what was about to happen to my foot which happened to be very painful. the verbal warning I got was go to my happy place. then she left me to go do something for almost 30 mins without explanation till she got back. I doubt I will be using her services again if needed. I'd rather find a doctor who makes the patient feel like they are her priority, as her paycheck comes from my insurance money.
