Anesthesiology

Board-certified anesthesiologists provide anesthesia for surgery, as well as pain management following surgery, using the very latest technology. Our anesthesiologists are specially trained in outpatient surgery.

Audiology

An audiologist is available on-site to assess and treat hearing problems due to chronic ear infections, ruptured eardrums, trauma to the eardrum, inherited conditions or diseases of the inner ear.

Balance, Dizziness & Fall Prevention Center

A unique multidisciplinary specialty clinic for the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients complaining of dizziness, imbalance and falls.

Breast Center

Patients who suspect or have been diagnosed with breast cancer should consider meeting with our breast care specialists. For suspected problems, we offer biopsies and ductal lavage, a new procedure designed for women with a high-risk of breast cancer. High-risk patients also can participate in the world's largest breast cancer prevention trial, called STAR. In conjunction with Cleveland Clinic's Cancer Care centers, patients have access to leading-edge medical therapies, as well as clinical trials. Our plastic surgery and breast center staff work together to offer breast reconstruction following cancer surgery.

Cardiology

Our cardiologists are part of the Cleveland Clinic Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute, which is nationally ranked and recognized as the global leader in cardiovascular care. They diagnose and treat heart diseases, such as coronary artery disease, valvular disease and rhythm disorders.

Colorectal Surgery

If detected early, colorectal cancer can be successfully treated. Specialists offer endoscopic procedures to diagnose colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, familial colon diseases and non-malignant colorectal conditions. Routine colonoscopies can help in the early detection of both colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer.

Dermatology

Our dermatologists manage a variety of skin, hair and nail diseases, including dermatitis caused by a wide range of allergens; fungal infections; and the damaging effects of prolonged exposure to the sun.

Family Medicine

Family physicians specialize in the primary care of all members the family. This includes the care of newborns, infants and toddlers, school age children, adolescents, adult patients, and elderly patients. The goal of family physicians is to provide preventive and primary care across the spectrum of common complaints and concerns that patients encounter.

Gastroenterology

A variety of upper endoscopic diagnostic procedures are offered in order to identify the causes of abdominal or chest pain, nausea and vomiting, heartburn, bleeding and swallowing disorders. More accurate than X-rays, endoscopy can also help identify inflammation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcers and tumors. Lower endoscopy is used to evaluate stomach pain and intestinal bleeding, as well as to detect polyps in the colon that may lead to colon cancer.

General Internal Medicine

Our internal medicine staff provides comprehensive services for adults, such as diagnosing and treating health problems that require prompt attention, conducting general physical examinations and performing screenings, which may detect health problems early.

General Surgery

Our board-certified general surgeons provide evaluation and treatment, including minimally invasive surgery, for a broad range of medical problems, such as hernia repair and gall bladder removal.

Geriatrics

A Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) assessment is a consultative resource for elderly patients, their families and caregivers, and the primary care physicians who treat them. A GEM assessment examines health in the context of the patient’s social and family needs in order to create a comprehensive plan for managing conditions and providing appropriate care. A GEM assessment also provides information about geriatric health problems, along with information about community and private support systems.

Infertility

Cleveland Clinic offers a complete range of fertility specialty services for both men and women on the main hospital campus and at a number of our family health centers. In addition to traditional therapies, our fertility experts offer a leading-edge assisted reproductive technologies including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection, sperm aspiration, assisted hatching, blastocyte transfer, embryo cryopreservation, donor eggs and sperm, and IVF surrogate. A board-certified mental health specialist offers counseling related to issues surrounding infertility at Beachwood Family Health Center.

Medical Oncology/Hematology

Oncologists diagnose and treat both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors. Specialists offer a full range of treatment options, including chemotherapy, and coordination of care with other specialists such as radiation oncologists or others involved in cancer management, if necessary.

Nephrology

The Department of Nephrology and Hypertension provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with renal disease and hypertension. The department participates in an active renal transplant program, all modalities of dialysis care and clinical research studies of diabetic and other glomerular disease. In addition to unique diagnostic capabilities, the department offers specialty clinics in renal stone disease, renal transplantation, chronic renal diseases and hypertension.

Neurology

Providing the most technologically advanced, compassionate medical care to patients with neurological diseases is the primary mission of Cleveland Clinic's Department of Neurology. The Department of Neurology is subdivided into the following sections, each one covering a specific area of neurological subspecialization:

Nutrition Services

Registered, licensed dietitians assess patients' nutritional needs and help them achieve nutritional goals. Often patients are referred for counseling when a medical condition warrants a change in nutrition and/or diet. Medical conditions may include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes management, heart disease, cancer, HIV/AIDS, irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal disorders, pregnancy, premenstrual syndrome and weight problems.

Obstetrics/Gynecology

Obstetricians and gynecologists offer specialized care for women, including comprehensive prenatal care, preventative health screenings and general gynecology. If necessary, the expertise of other gynecologic specialists is available in areas such as infertility, high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic cancer. A board-certified mental health specialist offers counseling related to women's issues or issues surrounding infertility at the Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center.

Orthopaedics

General and pediatric orthopaedic care, sports medicine and spine care are offered. Patients with orthopaedic problems related to the hands and upper extremities, or feet, ankles and knees can access specialty care from our staff. Arthroscopic knee, hand and foot surgeries are performed in the state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers in Beachwood, Lorain and Strongsville, or at Cleveland Clinic’s main hospital campus.

Otolaryngology

Our otolaryngology staff provides expert care of snoring and other sleep problems, sinus conditions, ear infections, throat problems, hearing disorders and many other conditions of the ear, nose and throat.

Pediatrics

We understand the special needs of young patients. Our pediatricians offer complete care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. We encourage the healthy growth and development of children by emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyles and educating parents and children on safety and accident prevention. We are available for problems that require prompt attention, such as fever, earaches and injuries, as well as preventive checkups, school physicals and immunizations. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Our plastic surgeons offer the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery such as body contouring using liposuction, dermabrasion, breast augmentation or reduction, and reconstructive surgery following injury or cancer surgery, for example.

Psychology

Psychologists provide individual, group or family counseling for a variety of common problems. If appropriate, they refer patients to other specialists and community resources.

Pulmonology

Pulmonology specialists treat pulmonary and respiratory problems. Related conditions such as chronic bronchitis with acute exacerbation and emphysema are also treated.

Radiology

Cleveland Clinic's Division of Radiology offers a full spectrum of radiological services provided by nationally recognized, subspecialized radiologists. The Division of Radiology is one of the leading radiologic academic centers in the world as well as one of the busiest clinical departments in the country. Each year more than 500,000 examinations are performed and interpreted by Cleveland Clinic radiologists. In addition to publishing numerous peer reviewed papers yearly and leading several national organizations, Cleveland Clinic's radiologists are involved in cutting-edge research in several areas. These include treatment of acute stroke, magnetic resonance angiography, three-dimensional imaging, digital radiography, digital mammography, cardiac magnetic resonance, cartilage imaging, electronic image distribution and intravascular ultrasound.

Our staff is dedicated to providing complete, state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for children and adults affected by diseases such as arthritis, bursitis, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome and vasculitis.

Sports Medicine

Our Sports Health program is designed to give the highest possible quality of care to all sports enthusiasts, both amateur and professional. This means high school athletes and weekend warriors are cared for by the same sports medicine specialists who treat the Cleveland Browns, CAVS and Indians.

Travel Medicine

The Travel Medicine Clinic ensures that peoples’ journeys are as happy and healthy as possible. The Travel Medicine Clinic is available to assist with issues such as immunizations, personal safety and protection, and special risk travelers.

Urology

Our board-certified urologists provide the latest in diagnostic and treatment techniques for a wide range of urologic conditions in adults and children. These include kidney disease, bladder control, prostate disorders, sexual dysfunction, male infertility, cancer (testicular, bladder, adrenal, prostate and kidney), chronic urinary tract infections and obstructions, and birth defects such as undescended testes and hypospadias.

Vascular Medicine

Cleveland Clinic's Section of Vascular Medicine offers comprehensive care to patients with diseases of the vascular system (blood vessels). A wide range of medical disorders can affect the body's intricate network of arteries, veins and even tinier blood vessels. Among these conditions are peripheral artery disease, Raynauds, and more. Vascular Medicine specialists diagnose and manage arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders. They also provide acute and long-term care to patients with coagulation and thrombotic abnormalities.

Vascular Surgery

Vascular surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and management of carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and poor circulation to the legs and abdominal organs. Acting in close cooperation with vascular medicine specialists, cardiologists and radiologists, our vascular surgeons provide comprehensive services for all types of peripheral vascular disorders, including the new technology of catheter-based intervention, as well as traditional surgical treatment for aneurysms and obstructive arterial disease.
