Description
The purpose of this study is to determine new imaging biomarkers of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) on 7 tesla (7T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and examine the differences between clinical features, disease severity, and disability of AE with standard and 7T MRIs. Biomarkers are signals in the body that can show how a disease is progressing and how well treatment works. 7 Tesla refers to the strength of the magnet used in the MRI.
Participation is one study visit. You will be asked to have a one-time 7T MRI without contrast, physical exam, review of your symptom and treatment history, and complete neuropsychological testing. This type of testing will look at how AE affects how your brain and body works. The entire visit will take roughly 4 hours. You will be paid $75 for your participation.
Inclusion Criteria
- Clinical diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis
- Aged 18-89 years
Exclusion Criteria
