Description
The objective of this study is to prospectively characterize individuals with a confirmed PI*MZ genotype and obtain biospecimens to assess their inflammatory profile.
Inclusion Criteria
The inclusion criteria for the Aim 1 cohorts are: a confirmed PI*MZ genotype, FEV1% predicted ≥35%, and a ≥10 pack-year smoking history.
Exclusion Criteria
Exclusion criteria are inability to consent, history of interstitial lung disease (self-reported, documented or radiographic), self-reported smoking in the last 6 months.
