Description
We invite you to take part in a research study because you do not experience knee pain (other than minor, occasional discomfort) but are interested in participating in the research study.
The purpose of this study is to investigate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques for musculoskeletal (muscle and bone) tissues and disorders. The overall goal of this research study is to develop methods at 7T MRI system for the imaging of the muscles, bones and joints.
You will be asked to complete at least one MRI scan on the 7T MRI scanner for research. You will complete an additional MRI scan on the 3T or 7T MRI following the initial 7T research scan. You will also be asked to complete questionnaires asking about how you perform different activities and your ability to perform different movements with your knee.
Your participation in the research will include a one-time visit, which will last an estimated 2.5 hours.
Inclusion Criteria
Participants without a clinical scan:
- Subjects with age ≥ 14 years
- Subject willing and able to comply with the study procedures
- Subjects that do not experience knee pain (other than minor, occasional discomfort)
Exclusion Criteria
Participants without a clinical scan:
- History of osteoarthritis and/or inflammatory arthritis
- Previous injury and/or surgery on either knee
- Metal implant
- Subjects who weigh 66 pounds or less
- Pregnancy
- Claustrophobia or other contraindications to 7T MRI
